The base diameter of the bottom rim that sits in the lamp fitter is 9 7/8 inches and will fit a 10 inch fitter rim.

The glass shade glows under black light.

This glass shade is in great vintage condition. The ruby red satin shade does have expected age wear with light surface scratches and marks around the glass, but can't be seen unless your right next to the lamp. When the shade is lighted, you can barely see the light scratches in the glass. There is roughness along the bottom of the glass shade fitter rim, but it can't be seen once the shade is in the lamp fitter rim.
